Daily Guided Sea Kayak Tours

East Coast Outfitters has specialized in offering guided sea kayaking tours since 2001. No experience is necessary, as every trip begins with a brief yet thorough safety and skills overview. We have plenty of single and double sea kayaks to choose from, and we will work with you to make sure you are comfortable. Every one of our guides has been through our intensive 8-month training program, and will happily show you everything you need to know. We have developed a full range of guided kayaking tours to meet your needs: half-day, full-day, and sunset tours offered every day, customized private tours both from our base and multi-day trips on the beautiful South Shore, group tours, and shore excursions for those of you who are visiting Halifax via cruise ship.

Sea Kayak Rentals

We are pleased to work with a variety of kayak manufacturers and retailers in North America to provide quality sea kayak equipment. ECO’s founder, Dave Adler, has extensive experience working in the paddling industry and has worked as a sea kayak and equipment design consultant for some of the world’s leading manufacturers. He is careful with his selection of equipment, and the ECO fleet reflects that. If you are interested in purchasing a kayak, come to ECO first to try one out and work with one of ECO’s staff or Dave himself to learn about the different hull shapes and outfitting options to make sure you select the right boat.

Sea Kayak Lessons

With over many years of experience, ECO owner Dave Adler,  has designed an instructional program which meets the needs of every level of paddler—from a beginner to professional guide.

All of our instructors have completed the ECO guide training program and are certified by Paddle Canada. Our courses cover the safety, theory, and skills you need to be a safe and proficient paddler.
